The "Newton" Cremator has undergone several changes since its introduction in 1980, but
a common thread links every stage of its development - INNOVATION.
As the original "Newton" Cremator was one of the first to feature fully computerised control and quickly established Furnace Construction Company as a world market leader, so the latest "Newton" is packed with unique and innovative features that will ensure it continues to set the standards against which all other designs are measured.
Advantages of a "Newton" and its successor, the
"Joule", Cremator over other designs -
Cost
The "Newton" and "Joule" are cost effective. It's high throughput, low fuel usage and low labour input means the "Newton"
and "Joule" Cremators have the lowest unit cost of any furnace in the industry while simultaneously meeting the most stringent emission guidelines. Its comprehensive control system ensures optimum performance without the need of manual
intervention at any stage.
Fuel Efficiency
The secondary combustion zone optimises thermal efficiency thus reducing fuel consumption and heat up time.
The "Newton" and "Joule" Cremators are unique in incorporating a secondary combustion zone "wrapped around" the primary chamber therefore minimal fuels required while maintaining the secondary zone at the
850°C if required.
The "Newton" and "Joule" Cremators provide compact design whilst maintaining full 2 seconds retention time.
Safe
An atomised water mist injector protects the operator during charging.
The "Newton" and "Joule" cremators improve process control. It provides improved safety during emergency shut down.
The computerized control system also incorporates numerous self-checking and
safety features to protect both the operator and the plant.
Time Taken
Cremation time averages 70 minutes
Pollution Control
The "Newton" and "Joule" cremators comply with the stringent anti-pollution requirements present
in Europe. Multi element waste gas sampling also improves reliability and accuracy of waste gas emission monitoring equipment.
Ease of Control
The computerized control system is easy to operate. There is no need for the operator to be an "expert' in the area of computers.
